Neverwinter Nights is a series of video games developed by BioWare and Obsidian Entertainment, based on the Forgotten Realms campaign setting of the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game. It is unrelated to the 1991 online game of the same name distributed by AOL.
Bioware's epic RPG lets players choose between a noble paladin, a sly rogue, or a powerful mage on a quest to erradicate a plague that's afflicting Neverwinter and to save the world from a powerful foe that is once again on the rise. Neverwinter is a free-to-play MMO from the combined team of Cryptic Studios, Wizards of the Coast, Hasbro, and Perfect World. It will put players into the heart of Neverwinter, one of the most.

The series takes place in the city-state Neverwinter, in the fictional world of Faerûn. In the first two games, Neverwinter is a bustling location and the second largest city on the Sword Coast, after Waterdeep.
