The TI Connect software is on the TI Resource CD that most likely came with your TI-83 Plus calculator. However, the version on this CD may not be current. The following steps tell you how to download the current version of TI Connect from the Texas Instruments website, as it existed at the time this book was published:
Go to the Texas Instruments website.
Click support at the top of the screen. Outlook mac message sources folder.
Click latest apps, software & operating system.
Click TI Connect.
Click downloads in the column to the left of the page.
Click the type of computer you use, Windows or Macintosh.
Click the FTP version of TI Connect.
Follow the directions given during the downloading process. Make a note of the directory in which you save the download file.
After you accept the License Agreement, you may be asked to log in. If you’re not a member of the site, sign up — it’s free.
After you’ve downloaded TI Connect, you install it by double-clicking the downloaded TI Connect file you saved in your computer. Then follow the directions given by the installation program you just launched.
After you start the TI Connect program, you see the many subprograms it contains. To see what these subprograms are used for, click the HELP button in the lower-right corner of the screen.

Each of the subprograms housed in TI Connect have excellent Help menus that tell you exactly how to use the program.
